“There’s something different about Jordy” - Pharrell Williams
Jordy Searcy is a fresh new voice on the American touring scene. With just one EP release under his belt in February 2018, 25-year-old Jordy has already booked & played over 500 shows across the country with his band.
Jordy’s sound has been described as “organic songwriter pop”. Catchy choruses & strong lyrical hooks laid over intricate organic arrangements make up the sound that is packing out venues across the US. Jordy’s music has been frequently compared to artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Vance Joy, Jeff Buckley, and Ed Sheeran.
Jordy is celebrated for his live show, (known for singing/looping into his guitar pickup, silencing a venue by playing a few songs unplugged, world-class guitar & vocal chops, crowd pleasing stage banter, ETC) but his greatest asset is his songwriting. Jordy’s 2018 EP Dark In The City was a critical success, earned him attention from Nashville publishers & managers, and opened the door to cowrites with the likes of Dave Barnes, Drew Holcomb, Jeff Pardo, Matt Wertz, Jeff Cohen, Ben Shive, and many others.
Our last Signature Session of 2019 takes place on September 14 with Soul Sessions and Speakertree. Yes, we like alliteration. No, you won't want to miss this one.
Our Signature Sessions are an opportunity to witness the person behind the art. Artists that grace the stage at these sessions use their talents to inspire, motivate and instigate cultural impact, while raising the bar and showing what makes them artists.
This is where the artists and creatives leave their signature. We would love to introduce you to the Legendary Black Ice.
The Tony, Peabody and Emmy Award winning, 6 time HBO Def Poet Black Ice is credited with being a major pioneer of this millennium in turning spoken word into a mainstream art form. Bringing to life a quote by business mogul & yogi Russell Simmons, “When I saw Black Ice, I knew the world was ready for poetry.”
His work is utilized in high school curricula to course studies at the academically acclaimed Ivy League Universities, Harvard and Columbia. With no signs of slowing down, Black Ice brought the audience of The Arsenio Hall Show to their feet, in the most re-aired episode of the 2014 season. TV-One utilized his legendary spoken word status for their online weekly reviews of each episode of season 2 & 3 of Lexus present Verses and Flow, culminating in a featured appearance in this past September’s season 4 episode 4.
Black Ice has toured with The Roots, Floetry, Musiq, Mary J. Blige and Def Poetry on Broadway. Recognizing his talent, many world renowned musicians like Nas, Fabolous and Kendrick Lamar to name a few, have had Black Ice appear on their platinum selling albums. He blew the 1 million plus crowd away at the LIVE 8 WORLD CONCERT and inspired an overwhelming ovation from the ½ million people attending the "One Nation Rally". He is the only poet ever to be featured on BET's Rap City or to receive the "hip-hop quotable" in The Source Magazine.
He has voiced national advertising spots for Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Heineken, Phat Farm and Courvoisier. Black Ice is also the exclusive voice-over artist for the audio versions of the Russell Simmons books Do You: 12 Laws to Access the Power in You to Achieve Happiness and Success and the 2011 release Super Rich: A Guide to Having It All. Black Ice continues forge on and push the envelope with the art form, having written the mantra for Under Armour's 2011 basketball line as seen in Slam, Kicks and Sports Illustrated magazines as well as online commercial spots. Not to mention his 2013 remake of the classic Gil Scot-Heron single “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” for the major motion picture premiere of Free Angela – And All Political Prisoners, a historical documentary produced by Jay-Z and Will & Jada Smith.
Whether it's debating at the barbershop, occupying Wall Street, touring with platinum recording artists, or teaching Master Writing Courses from Antwerp, Belgium to Guyana, South America, Black Ice continues to tour venues across the country and internationally for performances and speaking engagements. Consistently honing his skill in all aspects of his gift with one goal in mind – to transcend spoken word into new arenas. - quoted from American Program Bureau

A night of music presented by PACIFIC and guest Heather Grey
Pacific is an alternative indie band from Nashville, TN made up of Will Hunter, Nick Valdez, Cory Andersen, and Nathaniel Philbrick.
Pacific began in 2018 after frontman Will Hunter recorded a debut EP with producer brother, Cody Hunter. In the next 6 months, Will met bass player Cory and drummer Nick and they began touring the southeastern part of the United States playing over 25 house shows in three months, which they say established the identity of the band and began lay the foundations for what’s ahead. Keys player Nathaniel joined later that year.
At the beginning of 2019, Pacific released singles WYAF, wide awake, and yours to their greatest success so far, being named “Local Artist of the Month” on popular Nashville radio station Lightning 100 in January and playing famous Nashville venues like High Watt and Exit/In.
Pacific won’t put a cap on what they are inspired by, known for covering anything from Fountains of Wayne’s “Stacy’s Mom” to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” live. They see the creative value of being well tasted in almost all genres of music and love to incorporate elements of all genres into their shows, though they have a special heart for the punk music of the early 2000s. Modern influences include bands like The 1975, LANY, and the (not recent, but great) Goo Goo Dolls.
Pacific is releasing new music this summer and is touring in the southeastern part of the United States throughout August and September.

Like a good shot of its namesake, Strong Water is smooth with a bite, garnering inspiration from artists like The Head and the Heart, Mumford and Sons, and The Lone Bellow, yet remaining unafraid to break the conventions of the Americana Folk genre with a pulsing drum beat or a reggae breakdown.
Strong Water graduated from the term “college band” after releasing an EP in 2014 that received overwhelming support from Harrisonburg, Virginia’s thriving underground music community. In 2016, they responded with a 14 track self-titled album and began touring the Mid Atlantic, gaining attention from larger venues and artists, all while holding down full-time jobs.
In October 2017, Strong Water released their single, “Bearfoot,” before taking almost a year off the road as three band members got hitched. Since the release of their second LP Bearfoot in September 2018, Strong Water has been garnering national and international attention—from independent radio stations to tastemakers and periodicals such as EartotheGround, Relix Magazine, AmericanaUK. Life remains full of unknowns, but one thing is certain: Strong Water is holding nothing back in 2019.
With a mind overflowing with thoughts and questions, and a heart and soul dedicated to music and his own self discovery, Aaron James is an ever-evolving, indie/folk artist based in Memphis, Tennessee.
With over half a million Spotify streams to his name, and a year and a half of national touring under his belt, Aaron James strives to be human; flawed, transparent, and vulnerable. Aaron’s music is the byproduct of a desperate search into himself, because while it's a restless journey, he hopes at the end of that tunnel of self-understanding, will also be a sense of belonging. Being a part of the Memphis based creative company and record label “Unapologetic”, Aaron James aims to represent the universal and never-ending journey of finding yourself and being unapologetically you.

MOTHERFOLK HAS BEEN REVERED AS "THE BEST BAND EVER" BY ALMOST ALL OF ITS CURRENT MEMBERS. WHAT STARTED IN 2014 AS A WRITING PROJECT BETWEEN TWO COLLEGE FRIENDS HAS GROWN INTO A PHENOMENON THAT HAS CAPTURED THE HEARTS AND SOULS OF DOZENS OF PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD. WITH TWO FULL LENGTHS AND A FEW SINGLES UNDER THEIR BELT, MOTHERFOLK HAS TOURED HEAVILY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND HAS MADE A NAME FOR THEMSELVES WITH THEIR HIGH-ENERGY PERFORMANCE. CURRENTLY IN 2018, THEY CONTINUE TO TOUR REGULARLY AND ARE SPENDING THE TIME IN BETWEEN IN THE STUDIO WORKING ON WHAT'S NEXT. DON'T SLEEP ON THIS BAND, SLEEP ON A BED.
Wylder writes rhythmic, haunting and lyrically-driven indie-folk with a penchant for
strange, foreboding storytelling about family and loss.
First formed in Virginia by singer/guitarist Will McCarry, the group quickly grew to
include Lonnie Southall (guitar/mandolin), Mike Pingley (drums), and Jackson Wright
(bass/piano). Wylder’s unique blend of indie-rock and chamber-folk combines the spirit
of alternative rock giants like Arcade Fire and The Shins with the intimate, harmony-
laden sounds of Fleet Foxes and Radical Face.
Their debut album, Rain and Laura, was released in April of 2016, and was met with
enthusiastic reviews from fans and critics alike. They are currently in the midst of
recording their next full-length album.
